Dr. Alex Gardner
Hey, I’m Dr. Alex Gardner. I was raised in Maryville, where I was fortunate to grow up with two wonderful parents and a strong appreciation for the community. After graduating from Maryville High School, I attended the University of Missouri, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology before continuing in my father’s footsteps at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry, where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2025. Following dental school, I completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in Salt Lake City, Utah. During residency, I received advanced training in comprehensive dental care, including dental implant placement and restoration, root canal therapy, wisdom tooth extractions, and full-mouth rehabilitation. The experience allowed me to develop the skills and confidence to provide high-quality care for patients with a wide range of dental needs. It was also during this residency that I met Dr. Savannah. When I’m not in the office, I love hanging out with family and entertaining my niece, Scottie. I enjoy spending time at my family’s farm hunting, fishing, and helping dad with the latest project. After nine years away, I’m excited to be back home in Maryville, caring for the community that helped shape me. I look forward to building lasting relationships with my patients and providing compassionate, personalized dental care for families throughout Northwest Missouri.

Dr. Savannah Broome
Hi! I’m Dr. Savannah Broome. I grew up in Treasure Island, Florida. Growing up around multiple generations of dentists, I was inspired from an early age to follow in my family’s footsteps. I attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where I earned both my Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 2024. After dental school, I joined the Utah Navajo Health System in Monument Valley, Utah, where I had the privilege of caring for patients in the Navajo Nation. To further expand my skills and provide more advanced treatment options for my patients, I completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in Salt Lake City, Utah. During residency, I received extensive training in complex treatment planning, including full-mouth rehabilitation, dental implant placement and restoration, root canal therapy and many oral surgery procedures. It was also during my residency that I met Dr. Alex. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, and cheering on the Florida Gators. I’m excited to call Maryville home and look forward to serving the community by providing patient centered, compassionate, dental care. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Torrie Runyan | Dental Assistant, expanded functions
Hi! My name is Torrie Runyan, and I am one of Dr. Gardner's expanded function dental assistants. I grew up in Albany, Missouri, and graduated in 2021. I've always had a passion for dentistry and enjoy helping others feel confident in their smiles. Being part of a team that helps patients improve their oral health and confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I am passionate about continuing my education and expanding my skills. My goal is to attend dental hygiene school and become a dental hygienist so I can continue providing the highest level of care while helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
When I'm not in the office, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, or fishing whenever I get the chance. I also have a creative side and love sewing and quilting—there's nothing more rewarding than creating something by hand. I'm definitely an old soul at heart and have a special appreciation for antiques, vintage treasures, and the stories they tell. At home, I have two dogs who completely stole my heart—Winston, a lovable Bernese Mountain Dog, and Opal, a sweet Golden Retriever. They are my babies and bring so much joy to my life.
I love building relationships with our patients and helping them feel comfortable from the moment they walk through our doors. Whether it's answering questions, easing dental anxiety, or helping someone achieve a smile they can be proud of, I strive to make every patient feel welcome, cared for, and confident in their dental experience. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile!

Chelsi Praiswater | Administrative Coordinator
Hello! I’m Chelsi — one of the first faces you see when you walk into our office. My goal is simple: make you feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you arrive to the moment you head out. I’m here to greet you, answer questions, and keep everything running smoothly. Whether it’s questions about your insurance or a treatment plan I am here to help you with your needs!
When I’m not at the front desk, I’m with my family. I’m a proud mom to two boys: Swayde, 13, who keeps us busy with his many activities, and Stetson, who just turned 1 and is happily along for the ride. We live on a small hobby farm, so there’s always something going on — animals to care for and renovations in progress — and life is never boring. When things quiet down, I love picking up a good book, and when we can, we head out to camp with friends.
I look forward to meeting you — and if you’re a returning patient, I can’t wait to see you again. Dentistry is a fun and rewarding field, and I’m excited for all the great changes ahead.
